GST/HST Filings

GST is a tax on the consumption or use of property and services in Canada. It is a recoverable tax that can be claimed on your expenses, unless you are the end consumer or purchaser.

Harmonised Sales Tax (HST) combines GST (which is a federal tax) with Provincial Sales Tax (PST). Five provinces in Canada participate in the HST including Ontario, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia.

Missing GST/HST Filings or filing late can result in heavy financial repercussions. Work with us to always find solutions that best fit the needs of your business. If your business offers taxable goods or services in Canada and generates revenue greater than $30,000 or your business is registered for GST/HST you need a plan in place to file GST/HST returns. There are also some small businesses that are required to register for the Harmonized Sales Tax regardless of the amount of income that is generated.

Our experts work with many small and large business owners. We walk you through a clear picture of how you can save money on HST charges and ensure your business is in compliance with the guidelines set by the CRA.
